I have spent my entire adult life as a professional performer.
I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada surrounded by a big Greek family on one side and southern soul on the other.
I attended The University of Southern California where I hold a BFA in Acting.
Immediately after graduating, I sold my car and bought a one way ticket to NYC.
For the following 30 years (that's right) I auditioned, studied, worked, didn't work, auditioned, studied, worked, took survival jobs when necessary and sometimes, ate Cup-0 Noodles for dinner.
But I managed to work in the theater steadily, ranging from jobs on Broadway, Off -Broadway, Regional productions, Touring companies, Summer Stock and Dinner Theater with the occasional Film, TV and Commercial job thrown in!
In time, I wrote a children's album entitled Green Beans on The Floor and founded the Musical Theater Summer Intensive Destination Broadway.
Over the last few years I have turned my focus to directing. I have found such a love for the "other side of the table".
I am continually inspired by actors and collaboration is a deeply fulfilling to experience for me.
I have raised two sons and my husband, actor Mark Lotito, and I live in Brooklyn! I am the co-founder and former owner of Brooklyn CenterStage Dance Studio and this year I proudly launched Stage Stepnyc--a musical theater summer intensive for College students.
